This is something that seems to work.

If you're hitting the pocket and leaving 10pin for a righty 7pin for a wrongy, an adjustment you can make is moving your feet BACKWARD about 1/2 to 1 full inch. The theory is that since a corner pin is caused by a (almost indistinguishably) light hit, and a bowlers' approach steps are very consistent for each individual bowler, an extra half inch or so of lane will let the ball get that extra little bit of movement to hit the pocket enough to drive the 6 into the ten instead of around it. I've tried it and it does SEEM to work!

Just once I'd like to show up at a place with the lanes FLOODED 45 feet down and flat. That way I can watch these crankers struggle to find the pocket and leave splits while I come straight off the corner and do nothing but make 4 pins and 10 pins all night.

With my accuracy only a 1/64 of an inch usually does it!

When I'm a little off I move 1/2 inch.

When leaving 10 pins, I move my target a few feet toward the foul line, when leaving a 4 pin, I move my target a few feet toward the pins.

It's the same thing as what everyone else is doing, making slight breakpoint adjustments to get the ball to hit the pocket at the proper spot and angle to carry. The reason it sometimes doesn't work is that we also change something else, like ball speed, or we don't throw the ball where we intended to.

That's why I'm sitting here typing this crap, rather than bowling in the ToC.

Well, it depends on the kind of 10 pin.
If it's weak, moving back or moving right (for a correct hander) works. If it's a ring 10, sometimes moving left or up will work - but more often that requires a significant hand position change or line change.
