This past Monday night in the men's major handicap league at my home house a fellow left a 5-1-10 on his fill ball in the third game for 799! I didn't believe it when I heard but several people saw it and told me it was a fact.
And I felt bad because I left a pocket 7-10 in my fill ball for 699!

Ouch...he must have thrown a pretty weak ball.
-
Ouch. Well, that one will go down in local history, I'm sure!
-
Ok wich was it 5-7-10 or 1-5-10. Either way that sux.

We have a local bowler that threw a wash-out 5 count for a 799 last season. We still don't let him live that down or the 295 he threw a few months after (he made sure to hit that ball and went greek church).

I posted a 269 of game 1. Got up in the 10th in game 2 on a strike and needed the first one in the 10th to shoot 231 or better. Crushed the pocket and left a stone solid 7 pin. Spared, struck for 228. No big deal, I thought. What are the chances I would throw a 298 or better in game 3 for 800 anyway?
Game 3 - 299 for a 796. I'm not nearly as irritated about the 6 pin in the 12th of game 3 as I am with that 7 pin in game 2.

If horse racing is the sport of kings, then surely bowling is a very good sport as well.

Tech, it was the 5-7-10 for sure. He is a bit of an older guy, who is a straight up kinda guy. I guess he tugged it and the ball just 'hydroplaned' into the pocket with nothing on it. I don't know if he has ever had 800 before, my guess would be that he has...he owns a center near hear and has scored well there for years.
-
5-7-10...I'd pick up my equipment, throw it all away and give up the game forever...

Which would bother you the most?
a 299 game?
or a 799 set?

*Don't swing it if you can't bring it.*

they'd both piss me off really bad but the 799 would just kill me, i would break down and cry right on the approach

15 years and still going strong! 15 years old that is!
The names Warrior Princess, Xena..Warrior Princess
AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique
And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.
-
well can say left the 5-7-10 for a solid 297 game.....*laugh*..
my mark on infamy.....

My personal savior is common sense.
How can being so RIGHT be so very WRONG?
-
It happens. Just last night I had the front 11, then right out of he**, comes the virtual rolling turd. I still don't know what I did, but I missed my mark outside by 2 boards and didn't put any fingers in the ball. Left the 2-4-5 bucket for 297.

Just call me Darreyl, it's much easier to say!

Ok I was wondering. You had 5-7-10 in the heading but put 5-1-10 in the post. I figured it was the 5-7-10.
