Never Seen a 300 Bowled?

Now that we've talked about 300 games, is there anybody out there that hasn't seen a 300 game bowled in live action?  I'm excluding TV.

When I bowled my 300 game, I was amazed to hear some bowlers say that they've never seen one bowled.  I don't know about you but on my men's leagues we typically have about 3 bowled every year.  So, I find it hard to believe this day and age there are those out there that haven't seen one bowled.

Unfortunately I was on the opposite end of 2 of them last year.  Seems everyone I drew for a while had career nights.  Good for them I would rather bowl someone bowling their best anyway.  I guess one factor might be that a large percentage of bowlers do not bowl in high scoring leagues but rather bowl in mixed or for fun leagues.  Less of a percentage of higher average bowlers per person.  The ratio of 160 avg bowlers shooting 300 is probably lower and thus a bigger deal when it happens.  My father shot one of his four last year in a house in central Texas  and the manager became irate telling him NO ONE shoots 300 in his house.  Not bad for 68 years old but still some places have that attitude.  I guess he really earned that one.

On my dads thursday night league, so far this year, a 300 has been shot every night so far. Of course this league is huge and has nothing but the best in the area bowling in it, so it makes since.

There have only been 6 ever thrown in the house that I bowl leagues.  The house is about 25 years old and they've all come within the last 5 years.  I'd be willing to bet that most of the bowlers here have never seen one.

My first league night (FIRST GAME OF "pro" BOWLING EVER) I lost the second game 148-300... how about that!!!!

Never saw one, but heard it. I was at some alley where I'd never been before, I was meeting a guy on here (his name on here is louie)well anyways, we were bowling and all of a sudden I hear this "YEAAAAA ALL RIGHT YEAAAAA!!!!!" and walk over to see what was goin on, I look at the computer, sure enough, 300 game!

only 300 i've seen was mika's, so no.. but they do happen...  there are 4 up on the wall from league this season, but i'm not in a league yet...  so it happens, but not at 1:00 on wednesdays (when i go practice)

I've seen a ton of them, as well as quite a number of 800's, most of them being this year.  Always fun to see!

a had one teammate(in sept or aug of 2003) bowl a 300 his firest game and his girlfriend then bowled a 300 the next game(none in our tues. league since)......the other team just wanted to go home after the second one

(ex pba'er and ex wpba'er)

love to see how ugly the tenth can be when someone who's never done it gets up there(10 pin, 9pin, 5 feet and in the gutter, 5pinWEENIE)...but ive never made it to the tenth oh well.
