ANd why,
« on: March 11, 2005, 01:14:46 AM »
pray tell, are we not supposed to complain to the mods if they delete a post?  If an idiot falls in the passing lane are we not to hear him?  I'm sorry, me boyo, I shall complain, you shall delete and soon you will find yourself speaking to yourself and 3 sycophant mods.  Have a nice day.

Most people aren't. One of the reasons the mods lost their powers in the first place was they began disrespecting each other. As ridiculous as it sounds, modding goes to people's heads and they begin acting inappropriately because they feel above the rules. For this reason, we have been taking a longer time to reinstate moderators as we see fit. Only two mods have powers and they have chosen not to be known so old moderators will not bother them about it. You could call me a 'lurker' as the Webmaster because I am always on the site and if you have a serious question, do not hesitate to ask.

Hmm, sounds like people need to get out more often if they go powercrazy from being an internet mod.........Heck, I'm a mod on AB and BBE and used to be a mod on other non-bowling sites, and even operated my own little forum for a while, but I was never powercrazy.  To me, it just sounds like you're going to find some way to discover people who won't go crazy from having some internet-power.  I would volunteer, but I'm almost sure that everyone would leave in disgust if they found out that the infamous AK57 became a moderator.

I haven't even read the rest of the replies yet, but that might be the biggest pile of doo-doo that I've ever read on this site.  This place has been very sporadically moderated during the last year or so.  Isolated posts seem to be singled out, why much bigger infractions go unchallenged  There is no way to complain to the moderators, because up until recently, there hasn't been any way to.  Even if they had power (which they didn't), they no longer had a name recognized as a moderator to complain to.
