Best Symmetrical Med-Heavy

BR Friends,

I'm sure this has been asked 100 times, but I did try a search and found nothing that matched.  Due to shoulder surgery, I'm dropping down to 14#.  I think I have the other conditions covered, but looking for something to use on longer sport, tourney patterns and med-heavy house.  I match up best with symmetrical cores and I am not brand biased.  Suggested layouts would help as well.  Any opinions are extremely appreciated.  Thanks in advance and I apologize for any duplication.  Specs in profile.

Check a few different manufactures sites and see what is available. You will want something with a little more aggressive cover and drilled to get the ball started early for the heavier oil.

I wouldn't let symmetric or asymmetric be a limitation since all bowling balls are asymmetric once you put holes in them.

(Off the top of my head, Motiv has a lot of symmetric equipment that you may like)

What about a Prodigy. That ball is really strong and rolly for me.

Check out the new OutBurst from Columbia.  Just had one drilled, and with the box finish of 1000 Abralon, this would definitely fill the medium-heavy spot in your arsenal.

I've only thrown it for a few games, but in box finish on a medium oil THS, I could easily open up the lane with the OutBurst.  I applied a light coat of polish directly over the box finish, and it is still definitely very early, and very strong.  My layout is 70* x 4 x 30*, with a weight hole in the P2 location.

I looked at your specs.  Do you happen to know your axis of rotation?  If so, that would help in a layout suggestion.

Check out the AMF Mega-Recovery.  Great ball for medium/heavy oil.

@direct:  I'm guessing my rotation would be 45+ most of the time unless I'm really trying to go up the back, which is not very often.  Thanks to those who have replied!!

I would say that a Prodigy or a Revolver would be good choices. A possible dual angle drilling of 60 Deg x 4" x 35 Deg would give you a little earlier reacting ball with a stronger backend reation. I would suggest keeping the pin under your fingers to give a little more controlled reaction.
