« on: September 20, 2008, 04:16:22 AM »
Does anyone have a bowling workout they do specifically for bowling.

Does anyone have a specific physical warm up before bowling?

Thanks

hey ech
lots of stretching before bowling.. flex wrist to hand, arms and shoulders.. deep stretch of hamstring and calf(bend at waist, touch toes if able).. raise legs one at a time..lol..(put onto chair seat) stretch hamy some more.. do some small/deep knew bends to warm knee up and gently swing ball back and forth.. all this is to be done just as warm up, do not kill anyone in the process includung yourself.. sometime warming up is as bad for you as what you are warming up for.. start with small movement and gradually become larger movements..  lots of experience at this one, 3 knee surgeries later(I'm a pro at it).. hope this helps a little..  slashrr69

PS.  if this don't help 2 advil and call the doc in the morning..lol..
PS.. if you need a workout routine for at home email..

Mine is basically the same as slasher's.

I stretch hamstrings, quads, calfs, groin area, triceps, and shoulders.  I also touch my toes or raise my legs on a chair, and bend backwards a little to stretch the back some.  I'm even considering light weight squats at home to strengthen my quads more.

I've found I can bowl many many more games in a week by staying loose.

I even pop a few advil prior to bowling.

ech,

Contact Bamaster on this site or his site is allbowling.com.  He works out regularly and can probably give you some exercises.  Think he is into nutrition and supplements also.
