Well i was bowling a bit yesterday and stopped in the pro shop to see if he had any good balls on clearance, well not to much,. So I told him ( jokingly ) that I would give him $350 cash for a brand new Mutant cell, Virtual Energy, and Lane 1 Blue Massacre ( that hes had there forever..) all drilled with inserts.. And he actually said yes. almost seems to good to pass up, but what do you guys think? the Mutant cell and virtual energy seem like they would be a good heavy oil solid/polished combo.. as far as the lane one, well lol for little to no $$ what the heck..

So yay or nay? I havent seen the Mutant cell at all but its the only heavy oil solid he had on the shelf, and Ive wanted a virtual energy for some time

Well, if you can't use them, don't buy them

Seriously though, if you plan to make them part of a full arsenal and know what you want to do with them go for it. If you bowl on very dry lanes and you have hand, the Mutant Cell might be hard to use.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Take the Blue Death off his hands undrilled and sell it on here for a better price than bowlingball.com and someone will take it off your hands. You basically end up with 2 drilled balls for $250. Unless you want to donate the Blue Death to me!

THanks guys, Im really not trying to brag at all.. I honestly was just curious on the MC and how it reacts to lane conditions.. I thought I asked above but maybe not..

THe way your all talking the VE could probably be used down to medium conditions , while the MC is for heavy only.. SOrry guys, I didnt mean to come off as bragging or anything, But I really just dont know how they react, and there is only so much info you can get from BB.com and youtube

Ya. Buy them, take the bd undrilled with inserts and put on eBay. Maybe he'll even credit you a drill next time you need it.

I can throw the Mutant Cell on more conditions than just heavy oil. Though it's at its best on heavy oil, it's clean enough through the heads on medium/heavy and medium that it doesn't lose a significant amount of energy...thus it still finishes strong.

Great all around ball.

I figgured it was due to a good relationship you had with the pro shop. I've never known a driller to make an offer like that to anyone he didn't know, like, and that wasn't already a regular customer.

OK .. new twist.. How about ANY 2 of these balls listed below for $350 drilled , and still get the blue death free.. Whats the best combo

Mutant cell, Virtual Energy , mission, c system 2.5 ,evil siege, reign, Cell, rogue Cell, curve, big curve ( god is that thing ugly ) pure swing, full swing, total bedlam, nomad pearl, and a few others

If you can go any 3 balls then I would maybe start over in an arsenal setup
maybe do a Nomad Pearl, or Reign
Dark Star or Riot,
then maybe a slingshot, or another low oil ball
most of the balls you listed are all big hook heavy oil balls

I personally would not go for any of the big hooking balls especially if your not bowling on any long or heavy oiled shots out there
your specs look like you probably have above average movement on the ball so you might not benefit from any of those high performance balls

Yes you have some similarity in the arsenal but you could choose to drill one or two and sell the others. You would still come out ahead any route you went.

ok after playing 10 games on fresh oil , just on my own I realized Im looking for 2 much ball.. My diamond back started rolling early at about my 6th game and was getting VERY tough for me to find another line that worked.. So 6 games on my own is 1 league game ( avg ) with everyone else burning things up as well.. SO i think the MC especially is gonna be to much ball for anything after one game...

At the moment I have a Diamondback, a freeze and the t zone for my spares.. heres the list again from the front page.. Ill have to check on what other balls he had on the shelves, cuz I was only looking at the heavier oil balls ,

Also there.. ( basically any 2 for 350 ) mission, c system 2.5,evil siege, reign, Cell, rogue Cell, curve, big curve ( god is that thing ugly ) pure swing, full swing, total bedlam, nomad pearl,

I would go with either a Nomad Solid or Pearl to start and work my way down from there

maybe a hyroad or fast after that

then a slingshot last

well i have a t zone for spares and a Freeze on the way , to get drilled tomorrow.. Not sure If i wanna drill the freeze a little more aggressive or weaker..

I dont know who told you the Blue Death is a dud, but someone is wrong. The Blue Death is an absolute beast of a ball. Best pin carry ive seen in a long while. With the proper drilling, the Blue Death would probably be your go-to ball. It is a medium oil ball.

4 ppl who drilled it in my city put it in their closet, and Ive heard online as well ppl have found it a dud.. Everyone is different tho..

since I already have a DB and Freeze, im thinking about maybe adding a fast/avalanche slide or slingshot for a light oil ball, and the evil siege/VE or reign for a different look ball
