Bowling and Arthritis
« on: October 22, 2011, 04:59:25 AM »
I have Arthritis in my wrist and bowling fingers which affects my being consistancy on the lanes.  During leaque my wrist sometime will stiffen up which does not allow me to come thru the ball and my fingers would weaken which causes me to lose the ball at the release point.  I do use a bowling wrist brace most time but I noticed that is restricts me from coming thru the shot consistantly.

Any Thoughts!!

you might need to have your driller shorten your span and adjust the pitches to help alleviate the arthritis.

Also, if you drink more than 3 alcoholic drinks a week, I would stay away from the mentioned meds...or talk to your doctor, about alcohol interaction and medication.
I had a physical earlier this year, and blood was found in stool and urine. (as it has been found for the past 20 years. He recommended, discontinuing ibuprofen. I haven't taken it since June, and the blood has disappeared...just a head's up.
My father died from alcohol and tylenol related liver disease at the age of 79.

Noticed that you said brace affects your swing. You either have the wring type of brace or your brave is not fitted properly. Have your driller check your fit with the brace on.  Get him to watch you bowl with the brace so that he will see the problem that you are having.

Some braces are shorter and only cover and support your wrist. Others support both your wrist and fingers.

Those that can do. Those that can't complain. Pimpin ain't easy, but it's mandatory.

Most things we like, we don't need. Most things we need, we don't like. Don't confuse your likes with your needs.
