New PBA Tour
« on: December 07, 2010, 06:21:11 AM »
With the apparent success of the WSOB does anyone think there is a better option for reviving the PBA and WPBA?

256 bowlers 1 week 5 titles on the line. Imagine 3 Months and 60 Titles, all in one place. This would reduce the cost to televise, reduce cost for transportation for pro's, increase visitors to vegas to watch.

The options are endless. Instead of 5 tournaments per week, make it 3 day tournaments Mon - Wednesday and Firday through Sunday all year long. Stop the limit to 64 players and open it back up to unlimited (upto 256). This way, whenever you can get time off from work for a week or two there is a PBA event to bowl. You know where, you know when... Show up... pay your money and take your chance.

What does anyone think?

Maybe stop with all the gimmicks and format changes and just show more bowling. Don't try and make it something it is not. Take what it is and make it the best of it.

Why have a tour when everywhere looks the same with all the PBA crap they put up.

No, the time slot isn't great. I would rather see it during the week on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Back in the day I caught most of the re-airs on ESPN2 on Tuesday nights and loved it.
