Bowling ball cleaner poll
« on: June 30, 2004, 01:07:35 PM »
Alright I'm curious as to seeing what bowling ball cleaner the most people use.  so if everyone would reply what their favorite cleaners are then i'll keep track and tell everyone what the most common cleaner is.  At least for this poll .

My favorite is Neo-Tac Ball Cleaner in a spray. As for the polishes and compound cleaners I like Track Magic.

ebonite powerhouse cleaner. And when I'm in a hurry after bowling, I use the ebonite scrubs - same stuff, I think - only easier to use.

I also use ebonite first for surface changes (polish, dull, etc), but also have a full line of storm products to use with the spinner.

I use an orange degreaser for 90% of my cleaning.  I use Hook-It for deep cleaning if needed.  My home houses are in good condition, so I rarely need that.  I mostly use React-a-Shine polishes.

Thanks IEQ, don't use this in competition or public guys.

Don't get caught using that on your ball. Its an illegal cleaner.

I use it to clean spots or gunk I can't get out just like other shops that still use Acetone(which is also illegal) to remove super glue and machine gunk from a ball.

My favorite cleaner is Track's Clean n Dull. I also like Ultimate's Rejuvinator.

My favorite polish depends on exactly what I am trying to achieve by polishing the ball, but I usually go with Track's Delayed Reaction.

Hmmm, I knew Charlest had something up his sleeve. It just turned into Super "Duper" Flex...

Track's Clean and Dull, Tenth Frame Ultra Clean also takes out scuff marks very well.

For shame, for shame, Rick.

Ultra Clean is illegal to use on balls. Verboten! You should know better.
It has acetone in it. I use it also, mixed up with some other secret ingredients like bat spleen oozings, bumblee bee eyeball fluid and rat spinal fluid.

Charlest, I'd bet you didn't know that bat spleen oozings, mixed with chilled gin, makes a wonderfully invigorating drink, on a hot day.  This also can be used to clean your bowling balls.

Alright after 37 replies we have a close race for second in the cleaner department but it looks like the Ebonite Powerhouse Cleaner is kind of running away with it.  in the polishes/compound cleaner area its close between Tracks stuff and Neo-Tac's stuff.  heres all the results for the top 3 in each so far.

Cleaner.........................................Polishes/Compound Cleaner

Ebonite Powerhouse Cleaner, 7 votes.............Tracks Products, 8 votes

Simple Green, 4 votes...........................Neo-Tac Products, 5 votes

Neo-Tac Liquid Nitro and........................Storm Products, 3 votes
Ultimate Black Majic, both with 3 votes

So, keep the votes comming in.  I'm going to have to stop on wednesday (leaving for Junior Olympic Gold fun fun).  Thanks this is actually kinda fun.  Or maybe i'm just really really really really bored.
