Bowling Ball Collections
« on: January 31, 2004, 04:20:53 AM »
Reviewing the lists of available bowling Balls, one wonders if any of us "Bowling Crazies" out there actually collect Bowling Balls. Not to use, but just to display or show off. Does anyone have all the Viz-A-Balls or all the baseball team balls, or all the football team balls? Or all the balls made in the past "X" years from a particular company? Or what?

If you collect bowling balls, tell us what you have, how they are displayed and what made you collect them. Pictures on line would be great, also.

We have somethings in our office that are bowling collectable I would guess.  We have Walter Ray William Jr's Hammer 4D Reactive and towel plus Kim Terrell's turquoise Ebonite Shirt.  All itmes autographed.  Unusual item at the office would be a Tank bowling ball from the 80's. Ball popular on the ladies tour.  Made several telecast. Also 2 AMF Michael Jordan illegal basketball bowling balls.

Wife has a clear green lucite ball, nothing in the center.  Saw one on e-bay for $500.  She also has a Rose ball put out by Gemtek in the early 80s.  I'd have to go thru the closet and see just what she's got stashed away that could be considered collectibles.  Since she never gets rid of anything, it stops all the complaining if I want something new.  I just count how many balls she has.  End of discussion.  Not saying that I'll be allowed to get another ball, just that the discussion is over.
