bowling ball.coms oerfect scale

How much credit should Or do any of you give this rating system.I Just bought a ball that they had rated pretty high.It was rated higher than my strongest ball so I thought it would be stronger,it wasnt,its not even comparable to the ball I already have,its basically another piece of junk and I dont think I would give this rating system much credit at all.

What's your definition of "stronger"?
 
You bought a symmetric ball with an RG of 2.557 and diff of 0.041 and are trying to compare it to an asymmetric with RG of 2.481 and diff of 0.054?
 
You also don't tell us what type of drilling you have on both.
 
What did your local shop owner recommend?
 
You can also visit the forums at bowlingchat.net and they will help with recommendations and drilling layouts.

It may be stronger on the condition it's designed for.  Just because a ball is supposed to be a hook monster doesn't mean you are going to see it outhook everything on any condition.  When most people say big hooking ball, they expect to see it all on the backend.  And if you're using snow tires at Daytona, chances are that racing slicks will look better.  Get where I'm going with this?  Drilling matters, surface matters, condition matters, there are all kinds of variables you're either not providing or not taking into account.

Which is why you can't really trust the perfect scale. Like OP was asking.

No.  I pay no mind to the perfect scales or hook ratings by any seller.  I do my research on the MFR's. own websites, talk to other bowlers, watch videos, draw on your own experiences & then go to the proshop where you bowl before buying the ball.  Whether you go on line & buy it, buying from a different proshop, or other person. The more info on a ball the better.

The BTM ratings are better IMO

you should know that perfect scale is crap when it has the fury at the top.. my spare ball hooks more.
