you have to be at least 35 years old to remember that song....

Anyway, with the season few weeks away, bowling centers are getting a little busier with bowlers getting ready for leagues. All are working on their physical game when they head out for practice. Some, like me, are at the gym working on getting healthy and gaining leg and core strength. Now how do you work on your mental game? lol

For me, and I'll preface this by saying there's always something to work on, my physical game is really good but the mental part is where I need to do some work.

Focus on focusing, if that makes sense.

I don't have this issue at Nationals or in tournaments, but I do in league.  I have to challenge myself mentally to get up for league.  A THS can, and often does make me lazy in my shot-making.

All in all, it's all about getting a very very high level of concentration/focus an extraordinarily large amount of the time.  When I slack off mentally and get a bit casual the wheels start to wobble.  All about being in the moment.
