Video Update. I took this clip this morning at Holiday Bowl in Hayward.

Not a good shot, but the bad shots are the good ones to put up for chit chat.

I never do this, but TTT.

I know what I need to work on for the time being, as I have tournaments coming up... but after watching the video, what are other things I need to work on?

Here's what I have on my list.

1. Keeping the spine facing forward the whole way through
2. 3rd step... it still goes out left (forces me wide open).
3. I wing it a little on this shot - I tend to forget every now and then. I chose a bad shot for you guys to see.
4. Slide foot pushes right... forces me to open up at the line.

I know there's more. Help me out guys.

1. Having a push away is always a positive.  Push the ball away to near extension then just let gravity take over.  This will make your swing more natural and not so robotic.  Possibly at first bring the ball closer to your body to force the push away.  Then when you get comfortable with the mechanics and what a free armswing feels like you can make ball position adjustments from there.  Usually whatever is most comfortable is ideal.

2. It is ok to walk a little left as long as you get your slide leg back under your body thus creating natural leverage.  But the reason you walk left is because you are wrapping the ball around your shoulder.  With a pushaway you will not have to pull the ball back like you do and will get a much free'r (is that word) swing, thus your back swing wont pull inside but go straight back.  And when this happens you will notice you wont walk left.

With todays equipment it is ok to open up at the line.  On most conditions you need to project the ball right because the balls are so aggresive.
I notice in some tourneys i see you at, you either try to play the lanes so tight that you either tug it or if you miss right your ball has no chance of recovering (all this coming from your pull in the backswing.)  Or you swear to playing the gutter and refuse to move off of it.  More often then not playing 3,4 arrow is actually the best shot in the house.  So when you go down to practice try steering clear of the gutter or as i like to say the "funnel" shot.

First is first just work on pushing the ball away more and letting it drop freely aka "gravity" it is there for your use.
