Thumb insert
« on: November 03, 2008, 12:39:54 AM »

Brad Angelo kept changing his thumb insert from ball to ball.  It looked like he had a tool to remove and insert.  Where can you get these inserts made?  Can they be used if you also use tape?

I have always had a problem getting each ball to feel the same and this might be a great help.

Thanks for the help.

He was using the Vise interchangeable thumb system.  It's basically a modified standard thumb slug.  Here's a full thread of details on it:  http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=203358&ForumID=16&CategoryID=5

Angelo was using the Vise IT system. Turbo also has the Switch Grip system.

Both have there positives and negatives. The plus about Turbo is you can buy the inner sleeve empty and insert a mold into it. This makes copying a thumb fit almost too easy.

There are several of those types of systems.  I saw Brad hold up the IT bag infront of the camera.  They are good until they break or go bad(most systems) I've seen several snap at the bottom and break off.
