Bowling balls...how many have u had?

I was just flipping around the net today and began to think about how many bowling balls i've owned and its kinds sick.  I am sure I am not in the majority.  Yet going from day one as best as I can recall I've owned over 100 and at an average at 100 bucks per ball that $10000.00 dollars...Whew i'd like to have some of that green back.  Only 1 ball was a comp...the breakdown is as follows as near that i can recall and the amounts listed do no include multiple quantities of the same ball.

Columbia: 35 at least (They owe me a dinner or something)

Ebonite : 25ish

Brunswick: 15

AMF: 10

Roto Grip: 5

Morich: 5

Lane 1: 2

Track: 10

Hammer: 15

Storm: 15

And some that are not in business today: Manhattan rubber, and a few others

Is this sick or what?

Ouch man!  Ive only been bowling for 4 years or so, and own my two original balls.  Columbia Messanger (good ole greenie) and a Track Champ.

Champ is perdominate strike ball for heavy oil, greenie is spare ball or used for drier conditions.

Let's see... 15 balls in 16 years.  4 of them in the last year.
Doesn't surprise me much - when I find something I like, I will usually throw it for a long time.  The oldest ball I still use? My Pink Hammer 13 yrs old - although it is looking like it may be nearing retirement.

I thought I had a lot more, but I've had only 17, dating back to 1971 or 1972.

the ones in the old days( before resin) don't count for me. I use to win enough pot money in leagues that they paid for themselves and all the balls I bought. probably about 20 or so.

However the new era, resin/particle have not been kind to the wallet. I have changed weight 3 times now and 2 completely different drillings

Whoops just saw the Bull Whip and the Cobra...oh yes can't forgot about the El Nino 2000, X-it, Super Power Pearl, 3-D Hammer, and blue/white Wicked.

Wow..guess the count is up to 68. Not bad for 10 years, but about 60 of them coming in the last 3-4.

I used to have about 20-25 on a ball rack in my garage, but I think I'm down to about 10-15 including my old man's stuff. Good think people are looking for used equipment in my area.
