Hello all. I read the long posts from Bennett and about him quitting 2 leagues. His reason was the lane conditions. While I agree with all of you that if everyone bowls on the same thing, adjust. But what if the machines themselves break down every week.
      This is my problem. The first week we had a problem of the rack dropping pins forcing constant re-racks and prolonging play. We started at 6pm and I left at 10pm. Week 2 lane break down the mechanic came out and told us it would take him 10 minutes to fix, no problem right? 55 minutes later we had to move to another pair. My teammate was upset because he wa s having a good game and had to line up on another pair of lanes and lost the pot. start time 6pm left at 10:30. Week 3 the computers were not working on one lane so we had to manually put the scores in, once again not a problem but we didn't realize the problem for a few frames and had to back track a bit.
        The real kicker was the center knew that this was a problem for 2 days on this lane. A note left on the console would've stopped allot of confusion. During the last game of the night the lanes would just shut off at irregular intervals causing the lights to blink on and off, I missed a 10 pin due to the flash of the light blinking. again another 4 hour night. Now when this is brought up to the center owner, He shruggs and says he's doing the best he can.
        Now I want to quit this league I pay 26 dollars a week to bowl here and I'm not enjoying myself at all. That is what its all about. The shot is not great either but its hard to remember what you have to do when it takes you 10 minutes between shots due to the lanes. I have already paid for 6 weeks and I have only bowled 3 I think this is fair compensation to let my teammates find another bowler. I told them we should all leave but 2 wont. Should I stay pay 104 bucks a month and be miserable? Help me out guys because I really value your opinions.
