Went down and shot the Pro-Am with my brother. You get 6 pro's over 3 games, they each shoot 5 frames with your group. 5 amateur's and one pro per pair.
We drew Rhino Page, Ronnie Russell, E.J. Tackett, Wes Mallot, Gary Faulkner and WRW. Being a Motiv guy, I was in heaven (3/6 were Motiv staffers).
All were very nice, but Rhino Page went out of his way to make sure we understood how the pattern plays (Bear) and gave us some coaching on adjustments after watching us throw.
Had a great weekend overall, but had to leave about 2/3 way through Round of 16 to get back home. Will make sure to take another day off, so I can stick around for the finals.
Very interesting to see these pro's in the squads. They are human, missing the headpin and normal spares. In the end, they find a way to grind it out or bounce back after a bad game.
They blew up this pattern quickly and many were lofting the gutter caps quicker than you would think. Even WRW was lofting the gutter cap.
So if you ever get a chance to see a National tour stop, I would recommend it.
