Bowling on a PBA pattern next weekend...
« on: February 04, 2010, 03:01:11 PM »
I've bowled on Chameleon and Cheetah. Next week it will be one of the other three. I'm a stroker, probably around 275 RPM, 15-16 MPH ball speed. Here are the balls I will be taking, if you could suggest surface preps, that'd be great:

Bounty Hunter
Nomad Solid
Virtual Energy
Inferno
T-Road Pearl
Natural

If needed, I have these on the side:

Mutant Cell
QZ1
Fast

I want to be prepared. Don't want to get there and find that I didn't put enough surface on a ball or that I didn't have a ball with enough polish on it. Also, maybe you could suggest certain lines to try on these three patterns? Thanks.

Can you tell us what lane surface you'll be bowling on - Anvilane, HPL, wood, Guardian? Lane surface can make a large difference on what you might need and ball prep.

Can you find out what pattern it will be on? You've left us with three choices, Shark, Scorpion and Viper. Shark and Scorpion are longer and I can usually use the same equipment of both patterns. Viper is 4-6 feet shorter and plays much different than the other two so I use completely different equipment on it.
