-"I want a ball with good backend"

-People who tell me about buying a ball for core numbers and have no clue what they mean.

-People who have 2 iphones, an ipad, an ipod, drive huge SUV's, spend huge amounts of money in pots, but "Vulture" my bag for any balls Im not throwing.

-"Drill it to hook at my feet!".... 5 mins later, " The Ball doesnt hook"

-Assumptions that because the ball doesnt cover 39 boards, it doesnt hook and the ball is garbage.

-PBA card holders with 200 avgs.

-"I want MAX HOOK with no weight hole"

People who are not ready to bowl when it's their turn.

Or, people who are ready to bowl, in their stance, and their lane hasn't finished cycling yet when my lane (next to them) has cycled and I can't bowl because they're already on the approach in their stance. >:(

" This pattern/house/place in general is some sh*t!"

Meanwhile, one pair over, several bowlers are stringing strikes like there's no tomorrow!

I heard this whining, just this past weekend! LOL!

People with a two-stage approach and delivery! You never really know when they have actually finished their walk to the foul line.   :-\

- Guys who need four lane courtesy
- Throwing two consecutive balls during practice instead of just throwing one shot and keeping the line flowing

People who are bowling crappy and yell, 'ONE BAGGER!', when they get a strike.  Yes, you're bowling bad, I don't care.

People who claim to have given up, but then bowl a good game.  They self handicap themselves, so that if they bowl bad, they have an excuse.  If they bowl good, they somehow overcame adversity.

When I grab a different ball and someone sarcastically says, 'oh, that must be the problem'.

This one guy always used to ask me how heavy that ball was.  He insisted on throwing 16 (I throw 15), but he almost fell over at the line every time.

I'm only 25 and look sort of young, so getting eyeballed for just about everything probably gets me the most.  ::)

People who continually give me 2 lane courtesy "because I average 220+ and am one of the 'better' bowlers in the league" (seriously was told that once).  What a stupid reason.  Technically it has even been voted on as a 1 lane courtesy league to speed up play (as it is notoriously slow).....sure enough.....once everyone left that captains meeting, the same people kept doing it.  Amazing.

I must reiterate, I DO. NOT. NEED. IT.  !

If it is a regional and is by rule....ok.  A tourney w/some decent money on the line?  MAYBE.......but it is freaking Wednesday night league.....

JUST STOP DOING IT!

"Is this ball drilled for a lefty?"
"I want all of my balls drilled to hook as much as possible."
"Why do you want to take the forward out of my fingers?"
"The ball should look like this. *Shows me the drill sheet*"
"Can you make my ball hook like his?"
"I like to grab it and hit it as hard as I can."
"Drill me something for when everything else is hooking too much. *Goes and throws it on the fresh* This ball is garbage. It doesn't hook as much as my other stuff!"
"I need you to put more side weight into the ball. I can feel the side weight when it's on my hand, and I need as much as possible."

" This pattern/house/place in general is some sh*t!"

Meanwhile, one pair over, several bowlers are stringing strikes like there's no tomorrow!

The two are not necessarily incompatible...through my years, I bowled in some dumps (some because it was where I lived and some because that was the site of a weekend tourney).  The fact that one could string strikes blindfolded while hopping on one foot, backwards would not have changed the fact that the house was a dump and that their maintenance procedures were for s*it...

I'll redouble that in SPADE!!!
My house shot league on Tuesdays is a major lottery, as to what amount AND pattern, if any, you will see as you go from pair to pair. I need to bring a wide variety of balls from a Tropical Breeze to a polished Theory. The house mechanics don't know how to maintain their new Kegel machine and adjacent pairs vary insanely, with people throwing 300s on one pair and on the next, the lanes act like they oiled every other board, with a few 200+ avg. bowlers barley breaking 500.

giving someone "5" after every frame is stupid. Then there is always the guy that gives "5" to someone on the pair next to them. Or the guy that throws a strike and comes back and stands at your table with his hand out waiting for you to acknowledge him and give him "5" even though you are not paying attention to what he did nor do you really care.

Gee, with threads like this, no wonder there aren't any new bowlers.
