I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot of bowling balls - 30 is way too many.
I don't even remember just now what I have left (around 16) but I know that I have
1 Columbia (wild)

several Dynothanes: Thing, Thing Returns, .....

Several Roto-Grip: Fuel, Rush, Silver Streak (solid and particle)....

Several Buzzsaws: Silver Streak, XXXL, Green Bomb....

I plan on weeding it down more but what I'm asking here is, to avoid thinking myself, what company would you start the league year with? What company would you take to league the first night? You tell me and I'll sort out 3 to go with (although the Buzzsaw XXXL always goes - it's my spare ball).

'Bones, I don't have to do that - the way I bowled last year they all thought I was bagging anyway. But I'll take your advice - Green Bomb it is.

Rick, the socks are beginning to fade. Gotta find another new red shirt to was a bunch with. But you're right - the power of the pink sock is not to be sneered at. I'm thinking of adding a "Power enhancing Puff ball" to the toe; what do ya think? Too gay?

Well, heck, take the XXXL and leave everything else at home. You can say all of your other equipment was stolen and it will take you some time to rebuild. Then gradually bring in other equipment as the season progresses.

Ummm, yeah...sure...all 29 were in the trunk...and he brought one in the house...lol I'd actually like to see Rags try and tell that to someone too..haha

Rags, had a guy in Chicago put those Xmas jingle balls/bells on his laces so he jingled down the approach...that's a thought for ya..I was going to try and put blinking lites in my Dexters but haven't had much success yet....lol

Bones, it was easy for me to tell back in the day. However, you mentioned bowlers using their weaker/malfunctioning balls to keep low score, well that's both clever and new to me. I always thought the competitor in all of us would prevent us from the sandbaggers mentality (i.e. I find it very difficult to simply give up without trying to conquer what the lanes had to offer). If I may ask, what other "tips" do you know of? Care to share them?

i know bones is kidding about doing it but you do get fustrated seeing it over and over last year in our wed night mens league when we were getting our winnings the sec called the <beach bums>not real team name , up to get there money.even when we bowled them i would act like i had to sweep the sand up in order so i would not slip when i bowled i overhead one ask the other can we get total pins if i miss .i feel like they are not only losers in the sense of what there doing but they could be missing out on that one magical night of say a 800 ,etc .even though i know going in against them the second half of the year that we are going to lose to a team of 180 avg bowlers that are going to avg 210 or better .i feel like im the winner because i know i put all i could into it.i wish there was someway to prorate a team to where if they avg say 200 at the end of the season the next year if they fall say anything below 190 they dont get any extra pins that might help stop it .any other ideas out there would be helpfull .billy
