bowling score keeper?
« on: April 25, 2005, 01:17:11 PM »
Anyone have a website/program (for those programmers out there) that is pretty good for recording different individual stats (obviously I want it to be free)?

I'd like to keep track of stats during the summer (balls used, spares missed, splits made, strikes per game etc. etc.), and I started keeping track last week (as it was end of leagues).

Are you doing this on your computer or a palm pilot? My alley manager has a program on his palm pilot that does all that . . . I think it's also available for a computer. I could ask him if you'd like me to.

Yeah, looking for something easy on the computer.

Like on golf digest, they have a "handicap tracker" that allows you to input fairways hit, greens in regulation, putts... comments... basically I'd like something that is very incompassing to allow me to statistically analyze my problems (I know my main problems currently, but knowing more specific stuff/tracking improvement might boost the mental game).

Alright, I'll ask him the next time I see him . . . Not sure when that will be though, I don't have league till Sunday . . . Drat the fact that there is only one youth league!

There's no place to track what equipment is used (I guess you could create a separate document for that) but this is the one I use.  A friend of mine wrote the program for Excel.

"Gone Bowlin'" is an excellent program - best I have used.
Tracks equipment, scores, frame-by-frame, and everything you need. Can change the number of games you want in a series (tournament play).

Probably a good thing you found this one Stanski . . . My manager said his program doesn't have a computer version out at this time.

You're welcome.  I should tell my friend to include a line somewhere in there to track equipment too
