bowling shoes help
« on: May 08, 2008, 09:30:34 PM »
my buddy won some bowling shoes from a raffle about a year ago. size 13 LH. problem, his left push off foot has the rubber that's broke loose from the sole of the shoe, they're Dexter SST6. took them to a shoe repair place, tried gluing 1st that didn't work, tried tacking next, that didn't work either. he doesn't have the sales receipt and doesn't know where they came from. shoes are in excellent shape, just a bad pushoff toe. any body have that problem and a cure? any input would help, thanks.

My bowling coach had the same problem. Contacted Dexter and they gave her an address. She sent them off, got them back and the same thing happened within a week. She took them to a local shoe repair shop and they fixed them for about $20.00. They work fine now.

Maybe you can try another shoe repair place. Maybe the glue that they used is not strong enough. Who knows.
