Bowling Shoes?
« on: November 22, 2008, 06:18:24 AM »
I'm getting ready to order a new pair of shoes.
My questions is what's the benefit of shoes with interchangable soles?

You can change the slide ability of your shoes depending on what type of approaches your on.

There are many benefits to removable soles and heels like the different approaches. To me I can find the right amount of slide on a combination on most conditions. It's also nice going to the restroom instead of having to use a shoe cover you can just take off the sole and not worry about water on it.

Chad,

Just buy the Dexter SST8's and you'll be happy

I've been using Dexter's since 2000, and love them...  The whole inter-change-able slide soles is awesome, expecially if you bowl in alot of different places.   I mean for the most part, you can probably pick one slide sole and use it at 99% of the places you will ever bowl, but that 1% when you goto a place and the approach is sticky or super slippery, being able to change the slide sole completely makes it worth while.....

I'm testing a pair of Dynaroos right now.  I have no need for the interchangeable soles but the heel options are really good.  Never really thought I would notice that much difference in the heels but yep there is.

Adjusting your slide to the conditions of the approach is the main benifit.

I have dynoroos (Now 3G) Tour ultras, best shoe overall that I have owned.  I have also used and was happy with Dexter SST 5's and SSt 6's.
