Bowling Tape

What is the difference between 3/4" "Real Bowlers Tape"  vs 3/4" Powerhouse White Fitting Tape & 3/4" Masters White Textured Tape?

I believe it is texture and also some brands when u take the tape off its more sticky

I've been using RBT for several months now, and it's become my main thumb fitting tape. For me, the primary difference from white is the that RBT isn't quite as thick. That makes it a little easier to fine tune grip. The texture is slightly different too. It's one of those personal things you'll either like or you won't. I like the feel, but I'm OK with white texture too.
 
The negative is that doesn't take as well to being pulled out and reapplied. It has some of the characteristics of black tape in this respect. With my swelling and shrinking issues, I regularly take tape out and reapply later in the session. I find myself having to use more new RBT pieces than I would white.
 
In the link I provided, you'll see that others had issues with RBT backing being too sticky, and being harder to put in the hole. I haven't experienced these problems, but it's one of those things you have to try yourself to evaluate. RBT is worth the look. At the very least, it will be a cheap experiment.

Thanks Steven. I read the link and it appears that as sometimes is the case with a bowling ball, some people like it and some don't.

I need to order some tape as well as some finger grips, thus my question on tape differences.  Recently, when I was questioning the stickiness of white tape from some brands, Charlest sent me some Master Tape samples and it was great with no stickiness bleeding thru the tape. About the same time, I bought a ball from Buddies (actually 2 balls but not at the same time) and had them drill both balls. I had asked them about white tape, so they included a package of Powerhouse tape with my ball purchase and I found it as good as Master Tape, but it was a wee-wee-wee bit thicker than the Master Tape.

After reading the link you posted, I can't decide if I want to try the RBT or not, but probably will order one package just to see what it is all about.
