Sarge and grips?
« on: August 13, 2005, 12:14:58 PM »
Well, I'm looking to try sarge easter.  After careful consideration I've decided it would be a good idea for me.  Now the thing is, right now with my normal fingertip grip style stuff, I don't use grips.  And I've taken quite a liking to the gripless feel.  Now my question is, has anyone drilled a ball sarge easter with no grip in the middle finger?  I've had "bad" experiences using grips, but I don't know how a gripless middle finger will fare with sarge easter.  Seems like a stupid question, but I really have no idea.  I've never seen a sarge ball without a grip, and I have no idea if that is merely a coincidence (since most people use grips anyways) or because there is actually a reason for it.  So can anyone help me out?  Thanks.

Andy,

I think there would be NO trouble if you didn't use an insert for the middle finger. I have tried experimenting with it, I didn't like the feel. BUT, that's only because I LOVE using grips.
For somebody who has gotten used to using no grips, I would say go for it!

Alright then.  If there wouldn't be any problems, then I'll keep it ungripped.

Mom's fine.  Actually she just won a quarter million in the lottery.  But I'm not supposed to tell you that, we're supposed to milk you out of all your money with child support.

Hmm, looks like you answered your own question.  Trust me, I've researched on it.  If I wanted to do it for the "fad" factor, I would have done it months ago when Nick and a couple other people tried it.
