I thought I heard randy Pederson say that the pba switch what kind of oil it was using, does anybody know what it is, seems to hold up better and players can use more aggressive equipment?

players can use more aggressive equipment because of the higher volume of the patterns. There isn't a major breakdown usually on the tv shows so they can stick with the more aggressive stuff

The PBA used an Authority 22 and Bruns. Defy at the Reno WSOB events this year.  Which IMO is why you saw lefties dominate.  Defy's properties of filling in voids as balls are rolled caused righties equipment to read the friction less and less and during transition and burn you would see a lot of 2 pin combo's.  The panels at the stadium were replaced last summer.

Yea the lane machine is Brunswick . don't think they run kegel oil in it.

This just doesn't sound logical to me.

The right side doesn't blow open so the advantage never develops for the right side and the lefties are able to keep their angles left...which is their advantage

I understand that, but that would be the case for any oil. It would work the same for either hand.

Besides, historically the left-handers have generally scored higher at the stadium anyway.

Not all oils...the additives are different as are the viscosities...they have different characteristics...so no it won't work the same with all oils

So basically you are saying the righties needed to get more right and they are not used to moving that way and the lefties get to stay where they are and drill that spot all night.  That is why the lefties dominated at the WSOB.  Cant blow open a pattern and wheel the dry if the oil wont allow it.  Sounds like me on a mixed league night.

Also the Authority 22 machine will not run reverse oil.  We bowled on Control oil put down by the A machine at the TAT last week, and the carrydown was unbelievable
