About six months or so ago, I posted I was ready to quit. I had been working with my coach for some time and was not seeing things getting any better. In fact, my scores were on the decline.
I received a ton of support from many of you here, and for that I am greatful. I didn't give up on my coach and he never gave up on me. Finally things are coming together. I have shot a few 250+ games and 600+ series. My low scores are in the 140's (though I do toss in a 120 from time to time).
Tonight was one of those confidence building nights. My sport league where I had a 158 average on the sheet. Game 1, with a 60 in the 5th I went on to shoot a 165. Game 2 another 165. Game 3 184 and game 4 a 190 for a 704 series. I am not sure I ever shot 700 in the three years I have bowled this league.
The best thing to come from the coaching is I love this sport again. I have never had so much fun bowling as I am having lately.
So for those of you working with a coach and feeling frustrated that the improvement isn't coming as fast as you'd like, trust your coach. As my coach told me, he knew there would be days I'd hate him, (I never hated him, but there were days I didn't like him very much

) but as long as I trusted him there would be success.
