I had corrective surgery to remedy severe carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist/hand three years ago. In my experience, I didn't have as much pain as I had EXTREME numbness throughout the entire hand. It would constantly fall asleep and felt as if my fingers had thousands of small needles or pin pricks on the ends of each digit. Had the surgery to correct it and it's about 90-95% back to strength and almost all of the numbness is gone. If you're experiencing pain, IMHO, it's something other than CTS. Just like you should check with your pro shop operator concerning questions about your game, it's probably best to have the hand looked at by your primary care physician if your pain persists much longer or gets any worse.
