Bowling with injuries
« on: April 21, 2004, 09:35:37 AM »
After being involved in a accident where an elderly gentlemen ran a stop sign at 70 M.P.H. and hit me broad side it left me with three badly damaged vertebrae just below my neck. My game has subsequently suffered greatly battling nerve damage and loss of range of motion.

I simply refuse to give up or give in, I have revamped my game in its entirety. My back swing is noticeably shorter, my release is now aided by use of wrist devises as well as tendon pressure relieving straps.

My goal was to compete in the PBA next year, or at least give it a run, but now I will wait through the rehabilitation process and try to over come the pain.  I am writing this out of frustration but mostly would like to give hope to someone else who may be up against a similar predicament.

Don’t give up, if you love it, stay with it. It’s starting all over but what if we make it work?

It's not my saying but I live by it's meaning.

To get somewhere you've never been able to go, you must do something you've never done.

A measure of success, to peruse your dream and watch it unfold.
