Arsenal Recommendation
« on: December 27, 2003, 09:08:32 AM »
I finally have the makings of an arsenal, but I think I may be missing a piece.  I'm probably a medium in most categories -- a stroker with medium speed, medium revs and play on medium lanes (mostly...).  Here's what I currently have:

  • Burgundy Hammer - for the 10 pin and the crispy conditions I sometimes practice on

  • Sonic X - for my league conditions and to try on the crispy practice conditions

  • Hammer Truck - I don't know what I'm going to do with this.  I had the shine taken off to try it as my heavier oil ball.

The pro shop guys recommend a ball that hooks more to complete the setup.  I'm partial to Roto, but other recommendations are more than welcome.  How do your pro shop prices compare to internet prices?
Thanks!!

I agree with the SS Pearl, I would also say possibly the Blade reactive,Turbo Diesel, or even a V2 Solid. Depending on drilling/coverstock prep, it would fit inbetween your Sonic X and your Truck.

You guys are pretty much right on the money with what my pro shop was recommending.  I think I may wait a little while -- I've only used the X and Burgundy Hammer today.  All I can say about the X is WOW!!  The Truck never hit the pins like this!!!  The other thing I can't believe is how much the Burgundy Hammer hooks!!  I haven't changed the out of box finish and it was moving really well and hitting hard too.  The Truck may be gone as far as I'm concerned -- we never really got along anyway.....
