A teammate of mine uses a Brunswick tacky glove, red in color I believe.  I've been wanting to try one, the tacky feeling intrigues me, too bad he's a lefty though.

So after looking at all of the choices of tacky style gloves, and brands I'm a bit overwhelmed.  Everyone has them, Bruns, Ebonite, Storm, Columbia, etc. On top of that they all have various flavors - backed, palm pad, wrist support, etc.

So who uses one here, what do you like, what have you tried and not liked?

I think what I want is one that is backed with a wrist closure to firm up my release a bit.  Also, are all brands sized the same?  His is a medium and fit me pretty good, so would a medium Storm or Ebonite be the same?

I'm fiddling with gloves myself and have found that the ones w/ the padded palm feel quite nice. At 1st, I thought it felt a little weird since I hadn't worn one before. Then, I tried on a glove w/o the palm pad and the glove w/o the pad suddenly felt odd. It's all about feel from person to person, really.

I'm considering cutting the middle and ring fingers and thumb down on my football glove and trying out how that feels. I'm just really comfortable w/ feel and tackiness of football gloves and figure I can afford to destroy one of my old pairs.

After looking at all of the gloves from the different companies it looks like they are all made by the same manufacturer.  Either that, or they all copied each other!

Does the wrist support still allow some wrist action?  Or are you locked in place?
