First night on Defy
« on: August 22, 2014, 06:50:16 AM »
Rough, really rough.  I'm working 70ish hours a week now, so I was tired and really not on my game at all, but everyone throughout the league had it nearly as rough as I did.  Defy is underwhelming so far to say the least.  This house had Ice last year, and with no change to the pattern, Defy plays drier, and breaks down more quickly than Ice.  It could just be that we're having warmer weather right now, everything seems to play drier in the summer here, so I'm not going to pass judgment yet, but so far it didn't go well for anyone.  In a league full of the best bowlers in the area, 20 of whom average 220+, only a handful shot over 650.  The third game was a disaster, couldn't get far enough left, and when you did, balls were burning up trying to make the turn.  Again, I threw the ball terrible all night, I haven't bowled that bad in years, but this is based more on observation than experience.  Could just be the weather, may need to make some adjustments too, but we'll see how it goes.  Initial impressions aren't favorable though.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Whenever you change from one oil to another, the ratios always seem to get messed up. Let them tweak the machine over the next couple of weeks.

This ^ give it a little time, it's not perfect when you first change

Aside from ball reaction, is there anything unique you noticed about it? Consistency, smell, etc.?
