OIL TRACK?
« on: April 01, 2004, 06:03:49 PM »
A couple of times during PBA telecasts I have seen pro bowlers down on their hands and knees on the approach looking at what I assume to be the oil track down the lane.  My question is, what are they trying to do?  Will they try to go around the oil tract, with the oil track, through the tract, etc.

SNOMAN .. have no idea what their attempt is .. often think of the same question you raise .. I know when I start having problems I will stand at the foul line and try to IMAGINE my ball line and picture where I would like the ball to travel. This helps me .. what they do with the OIL PATTERN is a MYSTERY to me. Hope someone can shed some light!

I know for a fact that they are looking at the lines where balls have rolled down. Rather they wanna play through it, around it, i don't know.
