BR Problems Still Exist?

When ever I try to enter this Miscellaneous column, the Misc. Non-bowling Related column and the For Sale/Trades column, I have a lot of trouble getting in. My computer times out 6-8-10 times before I can get in. And once in, if I want to go back a page, I go thru the same thing. I have no problems with the top half of this site that lists the Ball Companies and the topics. Just have problems with this bottom half of this site.....Is anyone else having this problem?....Could it be that there are too many pages in these troubled columns thus creating a space problem?

I think the only forum i've had trouble with is the regular Misc section.  My guess is they are working on the server and ran into some software issues.  I emailed the webmaster a few days ago and was told they were working on some issues and hoped to have them all fixed soon.

set your preferences to only show 25 messages a page.. that way it will not have to load up so much, you should be in for a better chance of loading the page first off...

I'm having the same problem as Brickgut221.
My preference is set to 25 messages.

Just wonder if problem is to location as pnj1967 is not having this problem.

No problems from here - Arizona.  It was running slow for awhile but seems okay right now.

Brick, it has nothing to do with "space", if I understand the way you're using the term.  Either they have the "space" to store the data, or they don't.  Apparently they do.

It's much more likely a data retrieval problem.  The more data you have to retrieve, the longer it takes.

Are you viewing "Latest Posts", or are you accessing all messages in the Misc forum?

Seadrive, I'm viewing all messages.....

I have always had my preferences set on 25 messages per page. After Monkey boy said to set at 25 per page, I rechecked and it was set on 50 per page. Don't know how that happened, but some how it did. Anyhow, I reset to 25 per page and it is now working, but the pages only go back 3 pages whereas on 50 items per page it goes back 433 pages or clear back to a year ago or more. Of coarse I will never go back thru 433 pages looking for something, but I may need to go back thru more than 3 pages. If I then reset to 50 days, it doesn't want to work again and when I finally do get in it shows 433 pages. It never used to work that way, but for now, I guess if I want to get on this site, I have to use 25 items per page which will only allow me to go back 3 pages.

I reset to 120 days, and it takes a long time, but I finally did get on, but that is better than not getting on with 433 pages showing, although not as good as 25 items and 7 days. Now that I can get on, I think I will stick to 7 days and if I need to go back further I will reset to more days and reset back to 7 when done. Works great at the moment on 25 items and 7 days. Thanks to everyone for their help. I had written to the adminstrator of this site about my problems and they were of no help. You guys are smarter than the people that run this site.
