Another Detroit Area Center Closing
« on: February 17, 2011, 01:45:03 AM »

I bowled at this house for five years from 1995 -2000.Not the nicest center, but always

had a great men's leagues. This center will be missed by many in the area.

Wish I had a million bucks laying around, I'd buy that center in a second.  Owning/operating a bowling center in the state where I grew up would be a dream come true.  Especially in Ypsilanti...it's a great town - close to Ann Arbor, home to Eastern Michigan University, downtown is being re-vitalized with State dollars, lots of friendly people...

Guess I'll but a lottery ticket tonight.

Well that's a shame. I hate to see/hear of any bowling center going out of business.  Hopefully an investor who likes bowling will buy it up & reopen it or rehab it if it needs...

When Detroit does not have 26% unemployment, maybe bowling will come back.

I think it's sad you are refering that Ann Arbor has anything to do with Detroit. They are completly different areas. That would be like comparing Akron to Cleveland.

I don't know if you are inferring that I don't know that Ypsilanti is not "Detroit,"but is Sylvan Lanes

in Sylvan,Salt River Lanes in New Baltimore,Premier Lanes in Chesterfield,Olympic Lanes in

Highland,Cherry Hill North in Clarkston, Collier Lanes in Oxford, not  all  MDUSBC certified.

Ypsi -Arbor Lanes is in the Ann-Arbor Assc.,but is just as close to Detroit as these other houses.

So yes, I consider any houses in the quad county area, the Detroit area.

Are you trying to say that cherry hill lanes north isn't mdusbc certified?

Like it matters, Penguins power play couldn't score in Amsterdam with a fistful of Euros.

I take you are not familiar with Detroit or the surrounding areas.
