Lets say that a Brand X balls have better carry then all other ball makers. All other companies balls hit very from ball to ball, some good, some better ect, but the Brand X balls ALL carry and hit better then ALL others.

If brand X balls in fact, not theroy, do give the player an unfair advatage over other bowlers, should the rules be changed ?

If the balls conform to the rules currently laid down, then there should be no adjustment.  It is not an unfair advantage unless people are kept from purchasing the balls in question.

It is a ball companies job to make their equipment do as well as it can within the rules of the game.  If they are not breaking any rules then it is the bowlers fault if they do not use the better performing balls.

As long as the balls are available to all bowlers, then there is no unfair advantage...
