Watching the PRO's, it seems they are withing 1/2 board at the break point of their intended target. Is it better to use the break point as your mark or intended target rather than the arrows?
I was really focused on my game and noticed that I was within 1/2 at my intended target the arrows, yet I was +/- 3 boards at the break point. Because of the wall of China shot I was still in the pocket and scoring good.
I tried to use a mark (7 board) at the break point but I felt awkward during my approach yet still missed that mark by several boards.
I tried drawing an imaginary line from my mark at the arrow to the mark I want to hit at the break point but that doesn't seem to work. I am still more focused on my mark at the arrows and sometimes don't know exactly where my ball was at the break point.
How can I "train" myself to focus more on the break point and not feels so awkward? Any suggestions? Pointers?
