League point systems
« on: September 16, 2004, 08:35:31 AM »
I have bowled the past couple years in a league where there is a possability of 28 points every night. If you beat your man each game you get a point and a point for totals (possible 4 points). Your team gets 2 points for each win and two for series. We also have a position round every four weeks. I find this system not only exciting but also challenging! It sure helps the reduction of sand baggers. The top guy with individual points at the end of the year recieves a nice money prize. Your thoughts (im hooked!)

I just noticed that in my last post in this thread, the lettering of the part above the quoted section is closer together than the lettering in the part after the quoted section.  I didn't make any changes.  I wonder why that happened?  The latter part is less crowded and easier to read.

The standard point system in my area is 11.  Three per game and one each for high game and wood.

The match point leagues use between 27-30 points.  I bowl on two leagues and always average higher on the one that uses the match point system.  I really like the one on one competition.
