Title: Breakpoint targeting
Post by: slickboobie on December 18, 2003, 06:16:11 PM
Our house just installed synthetic lanes and not the kind with the fourty foot range finders I was wondering what do you guys use as targets for your breakpoint on lanes that do not have these types of markers.

thank you

Fortunately, I do most of my bowling at a Brunswick
house that has the dark board (10 board on right side)
40 ft down.  At an AMF house that I venture to, they
do not but I was able to see a color scheme, every
two to three boards have a darker tint, this allowed me
to target a bit better.
Good Luck

Most synthetic lane surface do now have variations of darker and lighter boards that make it easier to target down the lane. Older synthetics had every board appearing identical; that made life difficult. One place had these huge very white reflections off the facings; made life miserable for me, just because I usually target my breakpoint 40 - 45 feet down.
