Need Advice
« on: March 26, 2005, 02:49:04 PM »
I have been getting coaching which has changed my basic delivery.  I am a down and in player with initial ball speed of 16.36, total ball speed of 15.73, rev rate of 247.5, and pap 4.5 out and .5 down.  I am considering some equipment changes.  Most of my equipment was received through ProAms.

Here is what I currently have Ebonite V2 Strong, Hammer Vicious Pearl, Blue Hammer, *Storm PDW, *Power Charge Pearl, *Hot Rod Pro Stock Pearl, and *Storm Football for spares.  (* indicates received through ProAm) I see no need to replace the spare ball and the Hot Rod seems to be my most versitile ball at the present.

With that said, what would you replace or add to the mix, or would you play with the covers of some of them?  My coach feels I have too many pearls, but we haven't really discussed changes.

I would consider a straight particle for heavy oil, and a resin that can handle medium/heavy or medium. Guess it strictly depends on the companies that you have in your bag and if you are willing to try different companies to achieve the look that you desire. As far as heavy oil, I've had no complaints with the Track equipment that is in my bag- so an Animal or a Rule GP2 would be the best choice for that slot. And I've recently added a Brunswick Absolute Inferno for my medium/heavy to medium resin slot. I'm sure you will hear 10 or 15 different choices from a variety of people as there are a lot of good offerings for resin and particle balls on the market lately.

I'm betting you can stay with what you have, add those 2 more slots and you'll be covered for 95% of the conditions you'll face.
