Brunswick
« on: January 08, 2004, 09:38:51 PM »
Does anyone have a link to the Brunswick headquarters, I bowl
in a Brunswick house which has been going down hill, terribly, the
last few years.  Dirty bathrooms, broken equipment (lanes)have gone
unrepaired for months at a time, foul lights inoperable for years
& poor customer service.  5 yrs ago, they invested $$ in the synthetic
lanes and new bar.  To top things off, the manager is only there during
the day, most leagues bowl after 6 PM.
The, so called asst mgr's are rude and most times are not available
after 6 either, leaving the establishment to be run by $6.00 p/hr help.
Have talked to the district mgr., to no avail, looking to bump this up
Bowling alleys are few in our area, so I believe they think they can
treat their bowlers poorly.  They have already lost their
Sunday AM league, additional leagues looking to move as well.
 Anyone have any ideas ????????

and a # of others are considering moving, as well.  Any Thoughts????

these days it really seems the only houses that can be well run are Independant, because its their own money and they want to take care of that, which i see in alot of houses, except mine, or snack bar was just closed do to rats, yea great place

Maybe Brunswick and AMF should form a partnership.

I also have had a problem with Brunswick Zones.  Unfortunately, Brunswick's focus, whether they admit or not, is on the Chuck E Cheese customer not the serious bowler.

I bowl in a house where the dust was so thick in the bowler's area that you could scoop up a handful.  I spoke to the GM at the house and she did nothing but make excuses.  I don't think that she comprehended that the dust was being tracked onto the approaches and becoming dangerous to the bowlers.

The only way I forsee a change in these corporate owned centers is when they lose the disco bowler dollar and are forced to focus on the league bowler as their sole form of income.

my house, olympia lanes in st. joseph, missouri, was a brunswick recreation center until the summer of 2000. the place was always spotlessly clean----inside and out. the new owners have maintained that tradition. i think most of this can be related to the management.
