I remember Deion Sanders (and several other football players) trying to play baseball. Obviously hitting a round ball with a round ball was more difficult that trying to catch a large oblong football or defending against one.

Bowling against a hidden "enemy" (oil patterns and amounts) is much more difficult than players of other sports realize.Oddly, most players of sports do not consider bowling a "sport", since fat, drunken plumbers can bowl as well as professionals, according to some people .... 

I do give Betts credit for trying. Let's see how long he lasts.
