Biggest Backend Skid/Flip Reactive???
« on: June 10, 2003, 10:42:32 PM »
What ball currently on the market has the biggest backend (most forgiving) reaction? I need a super skid/flipping ball since I already have a ton of stuff that gets into an early roll. Don't like particle covers...seem to be too over/under for me. I need something for medium oil (40-43ft) with stripped backends...

I bought a Cherry Bomb, but was very disappointed because I could not get it to turn the corner. Washed-out a ton with it...if I had more hand then I probably could have gotten more out of it, but I don't.  I had it drilled label leverage with pretty good specs.

Thanks

Freakzilla...

How about hitting it up hard with Black Magic????  Will allow the ball to get further down the lane...and with that stored energy should really get it to flip pretty good....

If you decide on another ball/drilling....

FLIPSIDE WICKED.......

Will go long......and then FLIP!!..(hence FLIPSIDE...lol)..

Hope this helps...

I don't know if you're gonna get much help if you couldn't get a Cherry Bomb to turn the corner, I think it's a hop, skip, and a jump above even the Silver Streak Pearl.  If you want violent move off the dry, the SSP or Raging Red Fuze would be the way to go, but man, you've gotta be throwing it straight or have a swamp out there if your CB won't move, makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.

I'd have to agree with many of the above posters, try adding some surface to your CB. If that doesn't work and it's the carrydown that's the problem, you may need to look into playing more of an arc as the skid/flip reaction may not present itself on the condition that you are bowling on.
