Parker Wins PBA El Paso Classic?
« on: January 14, 2005, 12:58:45 PM »
I think this is an easy call the way he has bowled the last 2 weeks.  Anyone have a different opinion?

Definitly. He deserves the win. He has bowled unbeleivable the last few weeks. Rob Smith is one of my fav bowlers, but I want parkers name in the winners circle again.

good luck and high scoring

This week is the toughest yet (to pick)! I'm going with BOHN and CICCONE in the semi-finals .. and then CICCONE for the overall winner. With the big scores everyone is throwing it's tough to separate them. If JOE beat MIKA he's got his mind on the game ..

I've given up on making predictions for the TV shows. Usually when I pick, I am wrong... even if my odds of picking the right one is 1:4. LOL. Look when I thought it was Eugene's week again when he was on the show a few weeks back.

There always seems to be something about the TV show (lights, lights causing unusual lane trasisions, the crowd, cameras, equipment problems, etc)  that causes the guy I say who will win to have something wrong happen.

lets face it, whoever wins this week will definitely DESERVE the trophy after out-scoring 63 other ridiculous averages.  im not a huge fan of such a scorefest, but my hat is off to whoever is able to carry shot after shot, and get the breaks along the way that anyone would need to average 260.

while max bob does happen to "own" pattern E, i am really impressed with the way parker is throwing it right now.  he made it on a very tough shot last week, and now he was able to outslug everyone to get here.  id have to say that both bohn and smith will get there, and its all going to come down to who carries the most, because i highly doubt anyone will miss the pocket.

my prediction - smith 278, bohn 259

He was pretty confident, and you could see it.  BTW, he was using the original inferno.  An oldie but goodie.

Bagger just to make the obvious statment in this situation.  just shut the pie hole.  parker made quality shots and when he didnt he capitilized on them.  I really dont think you could have done that.  Plus I think your armswing gets a little looser when your oppnent throws on in the ditch and cant strike as much.

Before you contribute to posts please at least know somewhat about the subject.  Parker has not always won playing from the ditch.  I seem to recall before the introduction to the pba patterns he swung the ball pretty well
