Why complain about tough shots?
« on: July 22, 2010, 12:55:46 PM »
So frustrated this summer session. My local house just cut and resurfaced the lanes, they were way overdue. Granted, it is an older house and it has more than its share of breakdowns, but what else can an owner do in this economy? Anyway, the lanes are pretty nice now but problem is that with all the heat and humidity here in Florida, they can't get a consistent shot down. Guys who normally average in the high 2teens and 220's are averaging in the 180's. I am not a "great" bowler, only get 4 games a week in and that is during league. But I am proud of the fact that I am maintaining a consistent 210 avg this summer. All the house hacks are crying they are not coming back, this is an unfair shot, blah blah blah. But I say, we all bowl on it, find a line, make the adjustment and shoot. If you can't do that, then you're not the bowler you say you are. Sorry, just venting.
