Not to nit pick, but if you can sell them for $20 less than internet sales, it implies you didn't exactly pay what you "should" have under normal circumstances.  Hard to complain too hard when the buyers want the same deal.

Strider,

No, it does not mean that at all. I recently put up for sale some balls that I bought for the internet price. I was selling them at around $20 UNDER the lowest Internet price, DELIVERED, because I had to raise money. Delivered meant $20-25 of my sale price went for shipping. $20 under the internet price meant I was taking a loss of $20.Add $20 for shipping and I was taking a loss of $40 - 45 PER BALL. It did not mean I bought them for less than I was offering them for sale, that I was making money on them.

AND these were all the latest and greatest: Raptor Attack, Shooting Star, Too Reckless, etc. One person was courteous to know what I was doing and paid me $5 extra; so my loss was only $40 for that ball. Another wanted to dicker me down until I explained that I was desperately trying to raise money.

be sure to get feedback on people before selling them something.  I've got burned on this site.

That's cool if you are just trying to recoup all or most of what you paid for something you no longer plan to drill.  I feel for you.  I based my comment more on your second post:

IF I offer NIB 10 or 20 below internet prices what does it matter what I paid for them

In the past we had quite a few people who would get "PBA freebies" because they were friends with the right people.  Of course they could afford to sell below internet pricing because they had little or nothing invested.  Sorry if I offended you.

I'd suggest as an individual who buys a lot of bowling balls and then maybe decides to sell some here and there because of changing your mind or ect to know it is very likely your going to lose money. As mentioned most new bowling balls lose their value real quick because the next new ball is right around the corner.

Most new balls are not a great enough difference between the new releases and the previous model for people to really care.

Easily everyone take a minute or two and look at a product series from any current manufacture and think of one release to the next and if it is a huge difference one way or another.

Say Brunswick and one Nexus to the next, or Ebonite and one Mission to the next, or say one Track 7 series to the next. ect ect.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

well I guess I'll just list them if they sell they sell after they are discontinued some one who love that ball and would like another will pay the going price. Fastest sellers i have had have all been discontinued balls. people want what they can not get any more . Last blue diamond lane one ball sold on e bay for 300.00 how silly was that or a gold brunswick made 20 years ago sell for a thousand on ebay people are funny !

It has to be a discontinued ball that was a good seller, not just any ball.. Also, you can not compare the older discontinued balls with new balls as they over make balls nowadays to the point of it being ridiculous. They also discontinue a ball 3 or 4 months after it comes out, which kills the people that bought the ball at its regular price. Those balls will always be boat anchors that no one will buy unless its very cheap.

The moral to the story is don't buy into the hype and buy all the new stuff unless your prepared to sell them at a big loss if they are not very popular or the reviews are bad.
