What are the differences between the two.

The Brute has a symmetric core, and the Reax Gusto has an asymmetric core. The Brute has a lower RG and will start up sooner than the Reax Gusto and they have similar differentials which would give similar reactions. They will have a skid / snap type of reactions with the Reax Gusto having a stronger backend motion. What type of reaction were you looking to get? What conditions were you planning on using either ball?

I have the Gusto thinking about getting the Brute I have an strong lay-out on it I want to replace my strike king with the brute but scared it maybe alot stronger and did not want to get something too close to the gusto

That (strike king) has been my go to ball for the last two years.

My wife loves her black Strike King so much she has two more NIB in the closet.  They are not that expensive, so stock up if you love the ball, because one of these days it will be discontinued.

Just like the Damage such an great ball now it's no more also I wish I could find an Dynathane Barrage for the dry for me the lanes never got too dry for that ball.

The Soul Mate is no slouch either I bought one for my daughter and I keep trying to find reasons not to buy one for myself. The ball just rolls great for her.

My friend's rolls great it reminds me too much of the swarm that I really liked I looking more toward an dry lane ball like the tropical breeze hybrid that sometimes became a little over/under but when it was on it was on.( probably going to stick with the strike king)

I do note the posters desire to have a ball that rolls earlier than his Strike King!

A ball I love for one house I bowl at but never works at another.  Is there a solid Strike King in the works?  Oh my!

If not I have heard a lot good about the Soul solid and also the Brute AND Brute Strength!  I could imagine the Brute Strength being nice at my home house on the left!

Oh by the way.  I have a NIB Damage sitting around in a box!  Great specs.
