Title: BTM
Post by: golfnutFL on September 17, 2003, 06:44:23 AM
Has anyone received BTM for September yet? I haven't gotten one and their web site does not yet show one. Just curious.

Thanks King.....but shouldn't October's issue come out at the end of September? I didn't get August's issue at the end of August, I got it in July.

BTM is a little old fashioned: you get this month's issue this month. I can almost guarantee you did not get August's issue in July. I've subscribed since 1996 and it's always been this way. However, it's been coming ever so slightly earlier the last 6 months - like the 20th - 25th, instead of the 25th - 31st.

Really? Does it have Black Cherry Bomb/XXL reviews in it?

Yes, it has both of those in the issue.

Has articles on sport bowling and dartfish.

Cover says:  The Rings Of Power:  Where Do You Reside?

(I think I 'reside' on the dark side of the moon).  My head doesnt see much daylight lately.

Because I signed up as a new subscriber in July that could be why I got my first issue early. I won't swear to a date but it was late July or early August (1st week) when I got August's issue.

Charlest,

I too am a subscriber from 1966. The second issue onwards.

Do you find like I do that the reviews have lost a lot of quality info since "Bob's" days?

Just got mine today.
I think the articles seem to wander a bit more the last couple of years. Still the best thing out there, though!

How do you get yours so early. I don't receive mine until the 25th at the earliest.

I'm in Florida, I don't know where they ship from, maybe it takes longer to get to you.

With over 80 balls being released a year, how much information do you want? How long before all the balls sound to same? One can only describe the same thing a few different ways before they sound the same.

I'll bet those issues are going to be very rare and expensive for you to get.

I asked for the first edition when I subscribed and was told that it's out of print. So they sent me some fax copies of the main articles from the issue. That sold me on their sincerity of their motto.

"Waisted Talent,"

Your comment is precisely why I read ball reviews. I buy a couple of balls a year and does not wish to waist money by buying a dud or something I already have.

Take their "test ball" drilling for example. Why are the balls drilled the way they do? Surely "test balls" should be drilled the strongest to show their capabilities and recommend other more suitable drillings.

Sorry for straying from topic.
