I have fairly high ball speed and a few years back even more so than today. But, several of the items listed already did work for me. So I would recommend a couple from personal experience. The first is ball surface, obviously a highly polished surface is not a great idea if lots of oil and throwing a rocket. The second ball adjustment was shorter pins. I have a had a couple balls over the years that were drilled in the 2 1/2" range and 1:30 that worked very well. Note here, I rolled these up the boards or very minimal swing not big hook. The roll not spin of the ball was also important as mentioned also. A ball that is spinning will not get much traction in oil and if it reacts at the end may be unpredictable. It is hard to add much else. Some brands of balls are traditionally better suited for this type shot for myself. I can think of a couple Zones that were great, an Ebonite that I drilled for this and my old Chaos that the drill might have not been right but the coverstock made it work well. I have always struggled with slowing the ball down to meet an oily condition, all that happened was my timing went down the tube and scores. So, try to practice the release Ragnar recommended, adjust the surface even as far as scuffing with 400 if you have too, can always take the ball back up if too far and if you have not tried short pins maybe that will do the trick. I have also seen the short pins work well on carrydown since the ball would have made its move and be rolling before it reached that area of the lane.
